Becky Chipkin

Netherlands Studio

Becky Chipkin is an independent paintings conservator based in the Netherlands. She holds a BA in Fine Art and Art History from Stony Brook University in New York and a Postgraduate Diploma in the Conservation of Easel Paintings from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London.

After graduating, Becky was a Fulbright Scholar in paintings conservation at the Mauritshuis in Den Haag. She has worked at various private conservation studios and cultural heritage institutions in the Netherlands, United Kingdom and Italy.

Becky is currently consulting on a research project on a newly discovered lost modernist masterpiece hidden underneath a painting by British Vorticist Wyndham Lewis. She is passionate about retouching and structural conservation.
